About us
-
We are a group of amateur Ukulele players having way too much fun & raising lots of money for charity (£87,000 to date)
-
Formed in 2014, we have entertained many thousand people
-
The group is the brainchild of John Scoble (Leader), who provides tuition free of charge
-
We are also indebted to David Swann (Singer/Songwriter) who also provides tuition, and shares John’s musical talents.
-
We play at many events, ranging from small to large
-
The group numbers approximately 60 players and there can be up to 40 players on stage!
-
We play all genres of music (but virtually no George Formby!). We play the melody as well as strumming, and play a number of instruments in addition to Ukuleles
-
Audience Participation is our speciality
-
We meet on Monday evenings, and Tuesday mornings (please contact us for more information)

In March 2024, we had a lovely time in Bridlington, playing a concert. We were able to present our cheque to the Scarborough Parkinson’s Group with the money we raised from our Christmas Sing-A-Long in the Kirk Theatre in December 2023.
We also had a chance to entertain Bridlington Veterans who presented their cheque for the money they raised for Scarborough Parkinson’s by selling their ‘raunchy’ naked calendar ‘Privates On Parade.’ We admire your courage guys very well done! We have no plans currently to follow suit.
Many thanks to David Swann for the report on this concert.
